Microsoft (MSFT) Bids $31 per-share for Yahoo (YHOO); Clash of Cultures vs. Fast Track to Market Share.

Microsoft offering to buying Yahoo has long been rumored and now has become a reality.  At $31 per share the total is $44.6 billion, no small deal even for Microsoft.  This would represent the biggest deal Microsoft has ever made.  For a company that doesn't do big deals, this shows you how serious Microsoft is taking the threat from Google (GOOG).  Google reported earnings after the close yesterday and is down almost 50-points or about 8%.
